STATEMENT OF AUCTIONEER’S TERMS
- COMMISSION RATE 10% plus vat with a minimum charge of £1.00 plus vat per lot, as stated on the Vendors account.
- PRE-SALE STORAGE All goods entered for the sale are held on the Auctioneer’s premises for whatever period necessary prior to sale are free of any storage charge. All items will be held on the auctioneer’s premises entirely at the vendor’s and purchaser’s risk.
- RESERVED PRICE GOODS Any lots which are offered subject to a reserve price and remain unsold will be left on the premises after the sale entirely at the Vendor’s risk and must be removed from the Auction Room within three days of the sale. In default of which they will be offered for sale by auction without reserve at the next convenient sale. It is the responsibility of the Vendor to check with the Auctioneers as to whether an item offered subject to a reserve price has been sold or not.
- UNSALEABLE GOODS Any lot for which a bid is not obtained will be deemed to be unsaleable and the auctioneers reserve the right to dispose of such lots in any way they think fit without reference to the vendor unless the vendor has on his/her own initiative contacted the Saleroom prior to NOON ON THE WEDNESDAY IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING THE SALE CONCERNED. Disposal will be charged against the relevant Vendor’s account. The Auctioneers also reserve the right to refuse acceptance of any items that they consider unsaleable at their sole discretion.
- INTAKE OF GOODS & TRANSPORT Goods are accepted on the Monday prior to the Sale from 12 noon or otherwise by arrangement. If required transport by a local independent contractor can be arranged through the Auctioneers. The relevant Contractor’s charge will be debited to the Vendor’s account.
- ELECTRICAL ITEMS Electrical items accepted for the sale are deemed to be electrically in safe and with a plug and fuse to BS1363A. Electrical items are PAT tested at a charge of £3.00 per item plus vat and an additional charge of £2.50 plus VAT is charged if a new plug is required to be fitted.
- PAYMENT to vendor by cheque to be posted on the Friday following the sale.
