Forward 1627 head of stock comprising 319 cattle, including 105 young bulls and 46 cows and OTMs, 1215 sheep including 257 ewes, and 93 pigs including 39 sows and 3 boars.

Clean Cattle
Smaller numbers on offer with trade very similar to last week. The overall averages for both steers and heifers rising vey slightly by 0.5p and 0.1p respectively. Top price heifer 241.5p for Limousin x from DJ and AJ Bailes,Elwick purchased by J McDonald Eston. Top price steer 217.5p (twice) for Limousin x from DJ and AJ Bailes, Elwick and JT and G Ryder, Youlton. purchased by GN Moor, Hawick.
Young Bulls
Slightly smaller numbers with a shortage of best quality bulls and quality overall not as good resulting in trade much the same as last week. Top price 213.5p( twice) for Limousin x from CN Patchett, Healey, purchased by A Wright & Sons, Boston.
Cows & OTMS
Another very good trade for for all classes a little dearer on the week. Top price OTM 180.5p Top price cow 168.5p
Sheep
Much smaller numbers which lead to a much improved trade with the overall average rising by 8p. Top price £118 for Texel x from A Lancaster Easingwold purchased by Cleveland Meat Co Stockton. Top price 242ppkg for Texel x from HW Cowling & Son, North Rigton purchased by Kurpas Meats, Manchester.

A few less on offer with trade firmer. Top price £110
