Fur, Feather, Machinery & Collective Sale

Thirsk Auction Mart holds a successful monthly Fur and Feather, Machinery & Collectable Sale. The sale is held on the first Saturday of every month. Entries to the Machinery and Collective sale can be taken on the Friday prior to the Saturday Sale between 8am, and 4pm only. Fur & Feather entries only are taken on the day of the sale between 7am & 9am. Please note that cages are allocated on a first come first served basis (these cannot be reserved). The Sale is divided into five main areas and three auctioneers are needed to sell all the items brought forward.

Undercover
 Fur and Feather.  Entries can be made between 7 am and 9 am on the day of the sale. We have over 550 cages available for the fur and feather lots.  These include hens, ducks, pigeons geese peacocks, rabbits and ferrets.  The sale starts at 10am. During the egg selling season
Eggs start at 9am followed by Fur & Feather. Eggs can only be booked in on day of sale between 7am &
8.30am.

Vendor Charges
Entry £1 per cage
Commission 10% plus VAT.  Minimum £1 per lot),
Buyers Charges
Commission 5% plus VAT.
 
At 10am we have two auctioneers selling
Plants, Small Tools, Wood, Household & Gardening goods, etc.  Entries for this are only accepted on the Friday prior to the sale between 10 am and 4 pm..

 The main items sold in this section are Chain saws, Stihl Saws, Electric Drills and Household and Garden Tools .We also have a large range and assortment of plants trees shrubs and bulbs for sale. Usually in excess of 200 lots.We have usually over 100 lots of Wood Planks Skirting Boards Rails for auction as well as 300 to 400 lots of household and gardening items.  All these items are sold inside the auction mart main building.

 Another auctioneer starts at 11am with Tractors, Vehicles and Agricultural Machinery

Outside the main building, which sell high-value items such as Vehicles Tractors and Agricultural Machinery.  We also sell Building, Construction and Plumbing Supplies, together with Rabbit Hutches and Chicken Coops and Agricultural Parts and Spares.

COMMISSION RATES FOR ALL SALES OTHER THAN FUR & FEATHER ARE AS FOLLOWS:-
 
Vendors Commission

Up to £500 - 10%, plus VAT
Over £500 - 6% plus VAT.
Entry fee: £1 per lot.
Reserves: No charge made for reserves.

Buyers Commission: NIL.

Clearance of goods: Immediately or one hour after the auction has completed
otherwise goods will be disposed of.
