Churches Regional Commission Farming and Rural Project.

 This project currently operates in the Northern Dales and Ryedale and The North York Moors. With an office based at Thirsk Rural Business Centre, we are ideally place to meet the members of the farming community from both areas. The Rural Officers, Bob Baker and Kate Dale go into the livestock marts in their own areas, as well as supporting farmers and their families who are referred through Farm Crisis Network and sometimes through the Statutory bodies where appropriate.

 Another part of the project’s remit is to raise awareness of the help available to farmers and their families and to support them in accessing what they need.  Information is made available through the livestock marts, Doctor’s surgeries, libraries, agricultural shows and events and at presentations given to groups throughout the region.
